the current week has seen our highest number of players with 13 on monday and 22 on wednesday. for those setting up next wednesday 3/1, remember that we do not have our secondary room available to us.   to those wishing to purchase club shirts, time is running out so see don asap. once he has made his initial order, it may be quite a while before another order is placed.  as mentioned many times, our enforcement of the legal serve will begin this coming wednesday. since our gatherings have fortunately become not only a time for competitive table tennis but also for social interaction we need to find a healthy balance between preserving both facets of our club. towards this, i recommend that if you believe your opponent abuses the serve�mention it to him/her. if, after your match, you feel that your warning went unheeded advise greg cehan. if he gets enough complaints, he will formerly observe and if necessary advise the offender that they need to modify their serve or begin losing points. ron is doing a heck of a job on mondays, so, as you can, stop by to sharpen up your game. i am sure we all want to wish mike mcdonald a speedy recovery from his rotator cuff problem and we hope to see him back soon. mike has been one of our most frequent players, has helped out numerous times and above all has a great positive attitude and desire to improve his game.

hi all,

welcome to new guests john hartman and larry thomas. as announced wednesday night, chebu herrick will take care of the club's purchasing and greg cehan will see to the maintenance of the club's tables and nets. thanks to both, along with others, without whom the club would not exist. don is near decision time on whether he will purchase club shirts. if you wish one, see him soon as he must reach a minimum order quantity to move ahead. don't forget that ron is still setting up tables on monday evenings for open play.

hi everyone,

we had six players on monday evening with new guests, kirk and brett henderson and twenty this wednesday with new guests aaron farley, jerry sacks and norman henderson. we welcome all and look forward to them playing with us. we discussed the abuse the tables are receiving from players hitting the surface with their paddles. paddles must be taped to reduce harmful impact and all players must adjust their game to prevent contact with the table. tables cost around $1,100 each to replace, so prevention is obviously the route to take.

we will visit sun city, roseville on saturday 3/4 carpooling @ 9:00 am. to date those going will be paula, ron, dave, chebu and tim. if you wish to participate please let us know. next week we will have a "play for free" question so bone up on your table tennis facts.

we had 9 players this past monday with new players from sun city, lincoln hills, john jensen and howard parker. wednesday we had 23 players with 2 additional players from lincoln hills, lyman olney and tim frank along with larry's daughter jula. welcome to all. we again discussed the legal serve which will be in-forced with all current players starting 3/1. we also mentioned the road-trip to sun city roseville on saturday morning @ 9:00 am march 4. we will carpool from the auburn courthouse. those interested in going please advise.
