please keep in mind our semi-annual meeting on 2/21, saturday morning, 10:00 am at my home in meadow vista. this will also be the occasion of our first club elections and several issues important to running our club will be on the burner. please rsvp mike giangreco, seagullnews@aol.com. mike has taken a new position within his company and will be relocating to sonoma. as i found out during our october tournament, mike has the unusual gift of being a leader, yet being capable of unselfishly and competently taking on menial tasks without question. his many attributes along with a unique sense of humor will be missed and we wish him and rhonda the very best.

with mike�s moving on, the club is in need of a secretary. this is a usatt mandated position for sanctioned clubs. basic requirements are recording minutes at our semi-annual meetings. please let me know if you are interested.

hi all,

this past wednesday evening was our first annual "winter fest" celebration featuring pizza and soft drinks for all that attended.
quite a few players whom we haven't seen in awhile showed up to partake in our singles team event and doubles. the "orange team" composed of fred myers, anson kwong, kumar jayaraman, tyler spesick, rickey pisanu, randy chandler, hans kawaletz and tom spesick easily took the honors with a win/loss ratio of 62%. doubles winners was the team of chris platt and dave mead.
overall jz took 1st place with tyler, tom, anson and kumar rounding out the top five. special recognition to fred and hans for playing the most games and micah for recording the fewest games.
a lot of thanks to bill kochenderfer who stepped in at the last moment, when the original event coordinator became unavailable. thanks also to bill indreboe for bringing the ice and soft drinks. hope everyone had a good time and are looking forward to our next special event towards mid-year.
