we began a new format this past wednesday. we offered �open play� for those who wanted a less competitive atmosphere to play in. we did this while also providing our customary �round robin�

we will experiment with this for two more weeks. for this period, since we can�t guarantee how many players will choose this, if any, the fee for open play will be waived.

our experiment with doubles a couple weeks ago was a success. i am in the process of conferring with the �steering committee� to see how we will implement �doubles night� into our wednesday evening rotation with our �round robin�.

bill indreboe should soon be announcing the date for our quarterly pizza night. it will be limited to the 1^st 30 players so watch for the announcement and sign up early.

as you probably have noticed, there is a donation jar at the sign in desk. the contents of which will be donated to local school(s) in form of a ping-pong table or other, depending on the generosity of the club members. the community thru ard provides a place for us to play at a reduced cost, so this is one way we can give a little back to the community.� we want to wipe down all tables before play. see tyler spesick, tom spesick, bob grittner, glenn johnson, ron mallory or bill indreboe to assist in this task. this procedure will prolong the life of the balls and the table plus the rubber on your paddles.��
