thanks to greg cehan for ordering and setting up our new corrugated dividers. although we are looking at good turnouts on mondays of approx. 12 players, we seem to be declining with our wednesday players. this is especially noticeable with players below 1000 rating. this maybe a temporary aberration, but just in case we need to do something different on wednesdays to make it more appealing to these players will anyone with ideas of how to improve please email me at timaq@yahoo.com .

please check the locking mechanism before attempting to fold up a table. although, the locks are not usually set, they may slide into partial position.

as our numbers grow, it becomes more and more important to arrive and sign in prior to 7:00 pm.� also to prevent unnecessary loss of time, if you desire not to play in the round robin please inform me or my designate before 7:00 pm.

hi all,

we have had a recent problem with tables not being put away after wednesday play. it is the responsibility of the players in each group to make sure their tables and corrugated are stowed away.

due to health issues in his family, mel starkey is not able to continue his role as co-manager of monday nights. the good news is that he will be able to play on occasions, as conditions allow. we want to thank mel for everything he has done for the club. for some time now, he has committed his time, not to mention a long drive, to see that we are able to have a monday session. taking his place and working with ron mallory will be bob grittner. bob has been playing regularly on monday evenings and we appreciate him stepping up and taking on this responsibility.

hi all,

i have asked jon saunders to join the steering committee and he has accepted.

jon takes the place of eric andrus and brian vagg as the club�s wednesday night setup person. jon has, on his own, taken up this roll for several months now. i want to thank both brian and eric for all their efforts. they were among the start-up group when the club was young and i hope their work schedules soon allow them back to playing.
