please be aware that the club will be closed on independence day wednesday 7/4.

speaking of being closed, we had the unfortunate experience of arriving last wednesday only to find a large meeting taking place in our main room. ard is investigating as we have the room reserved for the entire year. many of us stayed around, never the less, and played on 4 tables. since some people left in order to take pressure off the few tables we could set up, we will not consider the results.

we will have our semi annual general meeting here at my home on saturday morning, june 30^th @ 10:00 am. we will have several issues to discuss and they will be presented here in the following weeks. if you have anything to bring up, please let me know.

several of our members competed in the recent tournament in sacramento. congratulations to tyler spesick for his first place finish in the under 750 singles event and to him and tom spesick for their 2^nd place finish in the under 2500 doubles.

did anyone see the auburn journal for 5/17? there was a good action photo of micah chavez and a short article on the club and it�s 2^nd anniversary.�

to commemorate our second anniversary as a club we will have complementary pizza & soft drinks on wednesday evening 5/16. flyer we will not have the customary round robin but will have play in several different and fun formats. invited are all current and past players. in order to plan for food and beverage quantities, if you haven�t played in a while on wednesdays but would like to stop by for this event please reply to this email. we may have an article in the auburn journal about our club within the next week, so keep an eye out.�
