Hello ATTC Players –

ATTC 6^th Anniversary Celebration – Thanks to everyone that contributed to making this a fun evening for all! We had a great turnout and everyone enjoyed the pizza, sodas and the table tennis! We had 10 teams for doubles with the combo of John Hanna & Mark Copeland making it through their round robin undefeated and then pulled off the win in the final against Jon Saunders & Doug Vaughan!

Reno Tournament Report – Overall a good showing from our club regulars with Doug Vaughan getting 2nd in the U750, Mark Copeland 2nd in the Handicap "C" Group, Bill Kochenderfer 2nd in the U1950, Tom Spesick 2nd in the O40 and Tyler Spesick 2nd in the U2100! Sacramento regular and occasional ATTC player, Thanh Nguyen took first in the O40 and U2100. Grant Connell, Mike Martin and Micah Chavez all were in action as well. I have posted a few pictures on our Facebook page.

Auburn TT Club Closed Memorial Day 5/30/2011- The ATTC will be closed for that evening, please make note. See the calendar of events on our website. Sierra TTC will be open that evening! Directions to their club in Grass Valley.

Round Robin results for 5/25/2011:

Group 1: Sergey Tsvor goes 4-0 to sweep the group.

Group 2: Ricky Pisanu only drops one game to go 4-0 and sweep the group.

Group 3: Jon Saunders is pushed to 5 games in every match, but he wins them all to sweep the group.

Auburn TT Club Closed Memorial Day 5/30/2011- The ARD has informed us that the CVCC building will not be open on Memorial Day, so the ATTC will be closed for that evening, please make note. See the calendar of events on our website.

ATTC loaner paddles -  I resurrected a couple of the ATTC paddles and one of my own for the club… they have all been outfitted with used (but way better than what was on there before) 729 rubber. Should be better for players to try out before they move on to higher-end equipment… Donations of used complete paddles, blades or TT rubber gladly accepted! I can assemble and keep at the club for everyone to enjoy. Let’s try to keep the club paddles from leaving the club is my only request. If you have high quality used equipment that you would rather sell, email me or post directly on the ATTC Facebook page to get the word out.

Monday Open Play – This week’s turnout was a little light, but a big Thank You goes out to John Hanna and Bill Kochenderfer for spending some quality time helping train others.

Round Robin results for 5/18/2011: 15 players present and ready to play! Welcome back to Fred Myers for his first RR appearance in over a year!

Group 1: George Seicean makes the trip up the hill to play in Auburn and wins the group with a 3-1 record. A lot of good play shown by the group with several matches going down to the wire in 5 games!

Group 2: Eric Stefanic, Nikolai Zavastitsa and Ricky Pisanu all beat up on each other to go 3-1, so no clear winner of the group.

Group 3: Mark Copeland and Chuck Feyh both go 3-1, but Mark gets the head to head win and wins the group.

Round Robin results for 5/11/2011: A good turnout of 19, so we split up into three big groups of 6, 6 & 7.

Group 1: John Hanna shows good form and wins the group with a 4-0 record! Tyler Spesick has two narrow 5 game losses, but does get a match win in his Group 1 outing.

Group 2: Bob Hemming gets through some tough matches and goes 5-0 to sweep the group.

Group 3: Michael Martin completes the night of sweeps by going 6-0 to win the group.

Some good wins result in nice rating increases… Tyler Spesick +38, Grant Connell +37, Jon Saunders +34 and John Hanna +31! See all of the RR results on our website.

Hello Auburn Table Tennis Club Players –

ATTC 6^th Anniversary Celebration – Mark your calendars… Monday May 23^rd 6:30 – 9:30 pm, join us for an evening of Table Tennis Fun with Pizza and Sodas! We will offer a Doubles Round Robin and lots of Open Play. Please sign in before 6:45 for Doubles, I’ll pick the teams, and we’ll get the RR started at 7:00, we’ll leave some tables available for Open Play as well. Our Special Events Director, Bill Indreboe will have complimentary Pizza and Soda arriving between 7:00 ~ 7:30. Normal Monday rates apply, $3 Adults, $1 Juniors and our special Monday/Wednesday deal of $5 is still valid. Hope to see a good turnout and some faces that may have been away for awhile. Round Robin results for 5/4/2011: A nice turnout of 18, so we split up into three groups of 6.

Group 1: Welcome new player Tsendee Dashnyam. Tsendee only loses 3 games and goes 5-0 as we make him feel welcome at the club!

Group 2: It came down to the battle between Matthew Blom and Tyler Spesick, with Tyler pulling out the win 3-2 and sweeping the group 5-0! The week of worrying begins for Group 1…

Group 3: Doug Vaughan completes the trifecta and gets the 5-0 sweep of the group. Tamara Chappell adds another 38 rating points to her total!
